But most of the jewelry makers feel bead wrapping process as a difficult one. As we know nothing is difficult, practice will make the job more interesting. So practice more by wrapping more beads then you won’t feel wrapping as a difficult or boring task.
Materials Needed
For bead wrapping the materials needed are as follows
- Plastic Bead of the size you need
- Fabric Glue
- Scissor
- Silk thread
Step1: Cut and take the silk thread as stands of required size as a multi string as shown in the below image. The number of strands you take has to be unique for all the beads you are going to wrap. Let us say the number of strands to be 10 or 15 for all the beads. We are taking the silk thread as strands to make the wrap look thicker. When you group 10 strands, glue one end of the strand and make it thick to allow easy insertion into the beads while wrapping. If the strands are left as it is, then you would be able to wrap through the beads. To make the process of wrapping easier we glue one end of the strands as together to form a sharp thick end.
Step2: Hold the plastic bead tightly as shown in the below image with your index and thumb fingers
Step3: Apply fabric glue in one part of the bead from where you are going to start the process
Step4: Place the silk thread at the point where you applied the glue
Step5: Start wrapping from that point tightly and evenly
Step6: Thus the bead wrap is completed and the completed bead will be as below
